Piece: Resonance of the Iron Strings Performers: Composer: Liu, Yu-yun

Resonance of the Iron Strings is an immersive music work that fuses tradition and technology. Centered on Taiwan’s unique laba-xian, a string instrument with a metallic timbre and expressive bowing style from traditional opera music, the piece unfolds through layers of AI-generated composition, spatial sound, and real-time sonic interaction. Human voice and electronic textures intertwine, forming a dialogue between traditional melodies and digital resonance. Through the convergence of ancient sonority and futuristic soundscapes, the work evokes a poetic auditory landscape — a contemporary reflection of Taiwan’s rich sonic heritage.
