Piece: In the heart of Tripoli, Lebanon, artist Firas El Hallak's The Dome Sessions breathes new life into a vast, unfinished concrete dome. This project transcends mere performance, transforming the abandoned space with its remarkable 23-second tail reverberation into a living instrument and a poignant archive. Each of the twelve site-specific musical performances captures the echoes of the past, serving as a powerful act of preservation against the tide of forgetting that follows years of civil conflict and destruction. It is an act of reclaiming history, where architecture itself becomes a testament to enduring memory.
